Sustanon is the brand name of this injectable form of testosterone steroid. It has a medical use of treating men who have low levels of natural testosterone by acting as a testosterone replacement therapy (TRT).

There are 5 testosterone esters in Sustanon. An ester is an extra chemical addition added to the regular testosterone hormone which is then released in the body after injection. The timing and rate of release of each ester is what makes the four of these different: the testosterone itself is the same on each ester.

This makes Sustanon purely a testosterone compound and one what has had no alterations at all to the original testosterone hormone. Testosterone, as the natural male sex hormone, has an anabolic rating of 100 and an androgenic rating of 100 – Sustanon is pure testosterone. Other types of steroids skew these ratings one way or the other based on making modifications to testosterone or similar hormones.

So, while Sustanon as pure testosterone comes with many substantial benefits, it also comes with some potentially serious side effects which we need to be aware of and learn how to combat them during a testosterone cycle as well as developing a post cycle therapy plan to recover afterwards.

Acetate (30mg)

Testosterone Cypionate (60mg)

Testosterone Cypionate is also medium acting ester with a half-life of about 4 days. This is an ester that is not available as an individual product but only consumed in formulas like Sustanon and other mixed testosterone ester preparations.

Testosterone Decanoate (100mg)

Test Decanoate is a slow acting and long-lasting ester that keeps the effects of Sustanon active long after the injection. It has a long half-life of over 20 days.

Just like Cypionate, Testosterone Decanoate is generally not found as a single testosterone ester and instead only included in mixed ester solutions like Sustanon, making this one of the very few ways you can take advantage of the long-lasting benefits of the Testosterone Decanoate ester.
